After the information age, whats next?

Its pretty amazing how much the human race has developed all the way from the stone age till this moment.
The revolution all started with the invention of the steam plant which ushered us into the industrial age where machines were created and life became easier.

But not long, the internal combustion engine came along and the industrial age took a whole new shape where machines became more efficient and powerful.

Henry ford came along and perfected the production line and things got a lot better, easier and more cost effective.
At this point humans thought this was the end not until computer came along and gradually as the internet was born, a new age came along; the information age.

This age has connected the whole world together and anyone anywhere have access to any information.
From analysis we are already at the peak of this age and at this point Its likely for one to wonder "what's the next?"

Personally I think the obvious or logical next step after acquiring knowledge is the application of it.
And believe me, gradually that has begun, constant modification of our reality is ongoing as a result of understanding gained from our exposure to information.

A good example is (1) the blockchain technology which has introduced new financial system using cryptocurrencies. (2) Harnessing the power of virtual reality with devices such as Oculus Rift which is making possible an experience of anything from anywhere.

So Guys I'm pretty excited and can't wait to see all that this next age has to offer. But I'll like to know what you think, what changes have you seen or noticed? What do you see coming?
