Volvo will start selling electric trucks in 2019

Volvo plans to completely switch to the production of electric cars - this is part of the manufacturer's long-term plans, but no one is going to completely abandon cars with ICE. Nevertheless, the company makes big bets on the truck with electric drive - its sales will show how the market is ready to accept electric cars of this class.

First, electric trucks of medium load capacity will be available for sale - now the company has all the necessary operating time to complete the task before the end of the year. Experts have acquired the necessary experience in the production of electric transport, working on the creation of electric buses and hybrid trucks.

These small trucks are designed primarily for the city, so their load capacity is likely to not exceed four to five tons, but in the future, Volvo is going to produce bigger trucks.

Now Volvo actively cooperates with gasoline networks, power companies and representatives of the authorities to provide its new cars with electric drive with a decent entry to the market.
