Computer Networks #1

in #technology7 years ago (edited)

Did you know that the internet was once created with the intention of serving only government sectors? Things like e-commerce and crypto-coins were unimaginable when it started.

Figure 1: RFC 1631 NAT- Network Adress Translation:

After their popularization, a series of tactics were initiated to meet their demand, they are documents known by RFCs (Request for Comments) and are controlled by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the RFCs define the standards to be used throughout the internet for example NAT was published in RFC 1631 and it implies a great technique for the provision of free IP addresses. I'll start a series of posts to familiarize the internet users with how some things work on it, the name of the series will be: Computer Networks. Any suggestions about posting are welcome in the comments and the target audience are IT people or people who want to learn about the subject. My knowledge has been extracted from my undergraduate and Tanembaum & Kurose books, so first let's talk about the prediction of telecommunications analysts and engineers when the internet was created, the 21st century is the information age, but to get to that There was a series of events in the twentieth century after World War I that provided the worldwide dissemination of information as quickly as possible. In 1980 the networks, especially the internet was used only in government sectors and studied by the academics, from then on it began to take other proportions that made that at all times it was remodeled to meet the demand.

Supposed one of the first computer network in world:

)

In 1990 the networks were already used in large companies and universities, at the moment it begins to become popular because the curious academics begin to play with the academic service and to find the faults (the people are against these attitudes, but they are in them the evolution). By 1996 the networks were already available to millions of people in developed countries. In Brazil, the Internet began to be available to the population as early as the 2000s, while in developed countries the era of the wireless network and its various forms was already beginning. Currently the networks have already reached a high level of development and the tendency is only to increase. Developed countries already have 5G mobile network technology that began on 16th June, 2016.
