BIG Announcement, or Fake News?
Reports are emerging that encrypted-messaging heavyweight Telegram is preparing to release a cryptocurrency of their own in the coming year. Rumors coming out of Russia indicate that it will be used to secure and power upcoming versions of their app, as well as being used as a vehicle for sending funds from one user to another. With a large, tech savvy, and actively growing user-base, and a strong dedication to their mission of providing secure decentralized communications to the world, Telegram would appear to be in the perfect position to engage in such a project.
