Tell a Story to me - Trial by App
Remember when we judged each other
only in the black pits of our mind,
and did not dismiss only with a swipe,
just because that guy is just not my type.
We would silently be the nice hypocrite,
compliments hollower than the soul,
all the while laughing on the inside,
while the heart chills and mind derides.
But never told the guy about the mole,
that dangled from a 90's mustache,
just threw up quietly in the mouth,
and stare determinedly down south.
Now this time has me puzzled,
dismiss somebody with a flick,
as if their being did not matter,
no effort made to falsely flatter.
Have we become animals again,
that we skip the soul of a human,
and look at the vital statistics,
lost in our own selfie flicks.

Cool piece - the third stanza made me chuckle :)
I feel animals can see our souls better than some humans, sometimes. At least pets seem to.
