The funny thing is, 99% of the time when I ask a Mexican which type of tequila they prefer, they say "Well, añejo is supposed to be the best... But I always prefer blanco."
As for me, I prefer mezcal... or pulque.

Haha that has been my experience with the locals as well, everybody loves blanco. I could definitely see myself getting into Mezcal eventually, but there are still so many Tequilas I want to try! I've never heard of Pulque, looks interesting, you should make a post about it!
Good idea. Pulque is made from the agave plant as well, but from the sap instead of the "piña". Let me know when you're over this way and we can go to the pulquería.
