It's Been An Awesome Few Weeks - The Path Ahead Looks Pretty :)

In the last few week, well since April 26th, life on Steemit has been getting better. I have had some great experiences and had a few dreams come true. I am not saying there is still not a lot to learn and a few issues I have to get over but I am thrilled I made the decision to post my first post. 

There are a lot of steemians I have to thank for my journey so far. @ruth-girl, @eveuncovered, @wolfhart, @insideoutlet, @escaptist for being great friends I can talk to and sometimes vent too.....thank you @ruth-girl. Dream about mansions with and get awesome snow pics, thank you @eveuncovered. Be inspired by, to see past the bad, thank you @insideoutlet. Share recipes @escaptist. @wolfhart and @warpedpoetic for the great conversation :)

@trumpman and @deadspace for a funny post to have a good laugh. @deadspace for his fiancee's beautiful art work that Dre will love :) There have been a lot of truly great people I have had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with. @jazzyfish is one that I share a common goal of helping our sons be the best they can and understanding we are not alone, thank you :)

I have reached my 200+ followers mark and even though I do not know all of them I am thrilled they are on my journey with me :) I hope as I continue I get to meet and make more friends. Socializing is not easy for me. I am very socially inapt. I am always concerned I will say or be taken wrong. I edit and reedit what I say. When I try to be funny, I get nervous it won't be taken that way and I will offend someone, so I usually leave it out. I have been invited to chat by several different steemians and my lack of social knowledge has deterred me. Well also time, but more the social issue. This is one area of me that I am working on. I have gotten on discord and have posted a few times, it is a beginning :)

Steemit was not something I was eager to do. It scared me. I did not believe that I could contribute a post anyone would like or want to read. I loved my writing and the stories in my head, all my characters,but would anyone else? Erdoed encouraged me to give it a try. He said the worse can happen is you are proven right. Which he followed up with; "your crazy." Well do to circumstances beyond my control I had to try steemit for an additional income that I could make from home. I wrote and posted my first post. Friends of my husband welcomed me with open arms and became my friends as well. Since that first post on February 18th, it has been awesome.

I got my feel for steemit before I posted my first story. I was still afraid it would not be well received. Then I said; "FUCK IT!" and posted it. Well people liked it and it has been awesome ever since. I don't care much for the upvotes, yes they are nice, they help pay the bills. However, I found that I am more interested in the reactions. If people upvote it they like it. If they comment they really liked it. I do find I prefer the comments. I learn from them. Then came @Sndbox.

As you all know my hubby, eroded, showed me the @Sndbox summer camp challenge 4 days before it was due. I worked hard, grumpy hours on it and made the deadline. I wrote a 6000+ story which I thought would cost me the win, to the next challenge due to the length. Well it didn't, I WON!!! Now I am in the next challenge later this month. Fingers are crossed, well everything is :) Thank you @guyfawkes4-20 and @anomadsoul and @Sndbox for Sndbox Summer Camp and the opportunity :) I even got my first constructive criticism post, for the story I submited for summer camp and it helped a lot. Thank you @suesa

After @Sndbox I was posted in the @ocd daily issue #246 and was nominated by @guyfawkes4-20. Thank you so much,  @guyfawkes4-20. It was the cherry on top of the sundae:) Plus I found a few new steemians that are doing awesome posts. I was also featured in the @asapers issue #39. Life is looking great and then........

I got a @curie vote on my next story I posted!!! YAY!!!! It was a complete shock when I woke up to find I had gotten it. I had gotten a @curie vote for my post on bees, but never for my writing. I was thrilled that people really liked my writing. Now I see a future with it, wherever it may lead :)

Last but not least......I wanted to say thank you to my hubby @erodedthoughts for encouraging me to post here. I know you and I have had a few issues finding time to both post and be parents but we will find our rhythm. If it was not for you I would still have my friends in my head and their stories hidden in my journal. Thank you :)

I wanted to just take a few moments to say thank you to everyone and I am so happy I found a home here :)
