Want to know something great about Steemit? It allows you to accomplish so much - if only you have the vision and motivation to do it. One such example of this is one of our witnesses here in #thealliance - @sircork. I'm not sure who initially cued him to our presence on Steemit, but when he approached me about joining, we both had a mutual respect for each other. Even more so when he said to point my votes to @youarehope instead of himself.
Who Is @sircork?
The ice really broke for Corky when he brought up that he knew one of our long time supporters, @eturnerx, whom I hold in very high regard. Through the conversations, I learned the he has quite the knack for construction. He's out here building some great things, a few of which we'll get into shortly. What I want people to recognize is the size of this guys heart. He gives selflessly so often, it's amazing he has time to do anything else! Throw that in to being a daddy, and we know he's in the right place and are proud to have him in the family.

I mentioned a second ago that he has a huge heart and most people don't realize the truth behind that statement. One of the things he has, and is consistently building through Steemit, is called @youarehope. You Are H.O.P.E. is a charitable organization that has #thealliance fully behind its endeavors. From providing medicines and food in Venezuela with the help of @malos10, @rapo & @bigdude on over to school supplies and materials for the needy in Nigeria with @kofpato. The transparency he provides is what makes this the most legitimate charity on Steemit. Major props brother.

Most people don't know this, but @sircork is the one who built MSP - Waves Radio. YES. Now, he has branched off on his own again and has given rise to the new Steem Star Network. This is a full media broadcasting station with live stream shows, music, and even movies,

What do I say to all that? I'm not sure there are words for the honor and flattery you have bestowed upon me.
The fact is I am just a facilitator.
Yes, I did the techy things to build two 24/7 streaming networks based around the steem ecosystem.
Yes I founded the first steem blockchain exclusive, worldwide international humanitarian aid foundation working in multiple countries at once to bring food, medicine, clothing, building repairs, hygiene supplies and more to orphans, homeless, sick, dying, impoverished or weather emergency affected folks.
But I - ME - this guy - didn't really do shit. I just started directing traffic. The burden of the work is in those cars around me.....
Like @malos10 in venezuela, or @jassennessaj and @bigdude in the philippines, or @Misterakpan, @kofpato, @aydayodeji, @tyrex and @steem4depoor in nigeria and ghana and @nichi in peurto rico and gosh well, there are over 400 members in the @YouAreHOPE Foundation discord and each contributes in some way.
Fuel for this project is provided by the loving and generous steem community via donations, delegations (we need more of each please!), fund raising, resteems, helping publish and spread news and awareness and just plain old encouragement. The real gas that keeps us moving. Your love.
Please allow me to return that love right back to you all. It's not defective, I just suddenly find myself overflowing with it, since you've given me so much.
You deserve all the accolades boss, You have a rare heart, people like you are angels in human form. We are here for you
I cannot accept accolades for posting to earn money, when YOU are the one walking into a Malaria-infested village to dig ditches with teenagers in the heat and medical risk you face there.

Cork is the reason I even started my podcast show in the first place! He not only convinced me to go on the air, he literally talked me through every thing--all the software, all the streaming info--I needed to learn in order to be a host.
I swear, the man never sleeps. He is constantly working to help one person or another. I'm proud to be able to say, "Sircork knows me!" Haha.
I'm proud to say IVE GOT LENADR ON MY STATION AND NO ONE ELSE CAN SAY THAT!

That's what I like about this Steemit group. It has such fine role models for us little Minnows to learn from and aspire to do more than just look at dollars and cents. I'd like my efforts to count more than that and you guys set the bar pretty high.

I understand there is an Application Process, (nothing really to do with acquiring some egg from an alien bird). I've read lots, but never wrote before other than my first 5 Steemit blogs and a College course many years ago. I got some polishing to do and I got plenty to learn about the Steemit platform before I feel confident enough to making an application. Following @sircork
