When is there not new beef going on within the rap community? I know it has been quite some time since I posted, but I had the day off today during this long weekend and thought this was something that NEEDED to be talked about. For any of my fellow rap fans I'm sure you are very aware of Pusha T dropping his latest album Daytona yesterday. Obviously the production is quite incredible thanks to Kanye West, and we could talk about that for the entire post, but that isn't the reason why I'm making this post of course (especially if you read the title lol).

After some shots thrown at Drake from Pusha T, it appears that Drake spent no time waiting to come up with a comeback. Honestly I'm not even that big of a Drake fan but he chose to not spare Pusha OR Kanye on it. Obviously one of the biggest things that people bag on Drake for is the whole Quentin Miller writing his songs debacle, but Drake bring sup how he wrote verses for Kanye's Life of Pablo album. Drake completely goes off on Duppy Freestyle, and I honestly still can't believe that he went after Pusha's credibility when it comes to his background in the drug game. That seems like something that NO ONE has ever questioned yet Drake went and did it.

If Pusha was planning on taking the weekend off after his album release, then this has definitely changed it. I'm sure he is in the studio now writing his comeback song as we speak. Shouldn't be long before we hear the shots back!

i don't think this is the first time drake went at push and his history in the drug game. a few years back there was some meme going around with all of tidewater (the 757, virginia beach, norfolk, newport news) laughing about drake saying push didn't put no numbers on the boards. living in that area the last 5 years i've heard different opinions on what push actually did or did not do. i love rap beef, when these guys feel they have something to prove the bar keeps going up and we get classics. i think the 90's rap beef gun play came from outside of the hood but that's another topic for another day...
