Again and Again an again..... Lockdown in India

in #thediarygame4 years ago

Hi I'm Abhishek. I'm going to tell you guys the journey that I did during partially lockdown in India. Journey form Firozabad to Delhi by train and from Delhi to Guwahati by air.
It was lockdown in India with less restrictions. You can travel by train and buses and your own vehicles with pass. But in mind there was fear of being captured by the deadly Corona Virus. But the compulsion of people make them travel over fear of death.... It was about make their ends meet.
During lockdown Ph-1 I received my Appointment Letter for my joining in Audit department in Guwahati. Due to lockdown I could not join on time so I requested to extend my joining date and they did. But the next date I got was that I have to join just after the Lockdown lifts. I waited for almost 3 months and the day Lockdown lifted I packed my bags and started travelling even knowing that the Covid-19 positive cases are exponentially increasing day by day and that fear of becoming Covid-19 positive was in my mind through whole journey that intimidated me all time even after I reached my destination.
So I started my journey from Firozabad. As there was no other better option than train. From Firozabad I took train (Reservation in tier-2, reason was safety coz of less passengers) to Delhi. The only thing that could save you in this situation was safety and social distancing. My face was covered with mask, hand with gloves and the whole body with PPE kit(body cover) and the most important... sanitizer that helped kill the deadly and unseen virus ...HOPE. As I entered the station premise, firstly my temperature was checked.
Now I was on platform waiting for my train and that thought of deadly virus was haunting all time but it was about my life for that I had waited for very long time. Train horn honks and the instructions from railway on speaker for social distancing and sanitize yoys hands...... etc.
Befire I board the train firstly I sanitized the handle before opening gate and sanitized my seat properly and then I sat down. The passengers were in masks and with gloves staring at me as I was wearing PPE kit. Everyone looked afraid that trying not to touch anything or anyone. But you touch many things when you travel unwillingly and thoughts come to sanitize and you do it again and again.
4 Policemen boarded the train in my coach at Aligarh Railway Station. They seated in front of my seats as the seat was vacate. Suddenly many thoughts haunted my mind. When ine of those policemen coughed, everyone looked thwm suspiciously but none said anything...whatelse we could say to them. But the fear became all the journey till they deborded at Ghaziabad Railway Station. Now I was impatiently waiting to reach Delhi. And finally afer 5 hours of journey I reached Delhi......What the f**k... Where I have reached in the bomb shell of corona. At station there was as rush as it was in normal time and everyone was sitting gathered on the floor without worries as nothing has happened in the world.... But the crowd was mostly lobour class waiting for their trains to reach their native places and villages. And no authority was there to maintain social distancing between those poor people. This was really sad for everyone. Intimidated me, trying to exit without being touched with anyone and anything. Luckily I exited without touching anything and again I noticed that only one personnel was on entry gate checking (formality) temperature of passengers, with the speed of light. I was shocked seeing all this in Delhi, Capital of India....bahut Drr lg rha hai ab to( feeling more fearfulness). I booked a cab, before opening gate I sanitized it (only option) I seated in, the driver was wearing mask but not gloves. First time I saw the soothing empty roads in Delhi, it was peace for sometime after seeing the Delhi railway station fearful scene.
I reached at my friend's apartment, he lives alone there in 2 bhk. Before I entered I put all my luggage shoes clothes mask gloves PPE kit in the corridor and sat down on the floor in the hall and asked him to switch on the geyser and go inside your room and close the door. I sanitized my luggage and all the stuff and put inside hall after 2 hours and the clothes soaked into the hot water and had a bath. It was 3 hours after I came his place. Now I ate food cooked by my friend and went to another room to rest. I maintained social distancing with him all the time till I was there.
Next day in the morning I had my flight to Guwahati. My friend packed some fresh food for my journey and some more for to eat in Guwahati. I had no idea what would happen in Guwahati as there was the rule of quarantine for 14 days but no idea of place where I would be quarantined...... that was such a fear if I got quarantined in a common hall...... Only a person in quarantine can feel all this in tough time. I landed in Guwahati, at exit everyone was filling a form that had -personal details, flight details and destination details. I filled that form and submitted. Here I boarded in a bus that was only for those passengers who came by flight and going at a certain district of Assam. The bus took us to the Corona sample collection centre there we filled a form again and was asked many more details in detail. Finally my swab samole got collected by a fully covered doctor (God). It was 7.30 PM, we were allotted a hotel and another bus took us there with the security guard van so that no one could escape from being quarantined. I reached the hotel, it was 3 star hotel and a separate room and it was relaxing. I want to thank the govt of Assam for this facility in such time on govt expense untill the report comes after that home quarantine or paid hotel for total 14 days but alone for 14 days. After 5 days my Covid-19 test report came NEGATIVE...Thank God for everything . After completing 14 days I joined my office. But Again....and again.... it was lockdown in Guwahati for 14 days and I again get locked in a room alone.
But thanks for steemit who let me share my story on its platform.

I think you are new to this platform. We come my friend.

Nice to meet you.

It's simple to write our normal daily life hear, means what you do today, how you spend your day like that.

Hope you understand very well. Best of luck for next session my friend.

Have a Nice Day.

Greetings from India!

Hello there, I am new to this platform and I didn't know what to write on which feed. Next time I'll make sure to write accordingly.
Thanks for reading my journey.
God bless you always.

Your writing skill is quite good my friend, welcome to this Steem world. What I would suggest you that break these long paragraphs into smaller ones, that looks good and easy read with less load on eye balls.

By the way in which company you are working. And learned a lot to know about your travel details from Firozabad to Guwahati via Delhi. I never had any travel experience from the last 5 months or so ever since the break out of COVID-19. So reading your travel experience is also a kind of reference/guidance should I plan a trip(compulsive one) in these testing times.

I must also appreciate the hospitality extended by the Asam Govt, it is very rare when it comes to a typical Govt domain. But during these corona times, most of the things are compulsive on the part of the Govt. But any way, that should be appreciated.

Thank you. Keep posting your diary regularly.

Steem on.

Thanks for your appreciation.
I m glad that you liked and saw your interest in my post.
I would suggest you to be at home until it is necessary to go out.
As you mentioned that if compulsion then you can travel with utmost safety as I mentioned in my post. Safety is the only thing that we can do in this situation so travel if compulsary and avoid travel if it is just for fun.
Stay safe stay happy.
Thank you.
Have safe journey.
God bless you.

Thank you. Stay safe.
