The Diary Game Season 3 (12-30-2020): My Holiday | DAY 4| Journey to an end of the year party

in #thediarygame4 years ago

Hello friends, welcome to another episode of my holiday on #thediarygame. I'm honored having you read my post once again.

I started today just like any other day with a plan in my head of how the day will be spent. I had planned going to my Stepmom's end of the year party at her company located in SHOMOLU BARIGA.

I was delayed a bit by a lady who wanted to know more about cryptocurrency and I used the opportunity to explain what steemit is all about. After the sensitization, I eventually left my Mother's house by 1pm and joined a bus going to Mile 2 from Ajangbadi.

I initially planned to take a bike but I changed my mind when I saw a direct bus to Mile 2 right at the junction without stress. I then rued my decision because we spent more than 3 hours for a journey that should last for 45 minutes. We ran into traffic congestion. It was so hectic that some passengers decided to alight and started trekking trying to see if they could beat the congestion and join another vehicle. Some passengers also slept during the process.

We eventually got to Mile 2 around 4:20pm and I decided to take a bike to Oshodi and another bike to Onipanu and finally another bike to Awofeso where her place of work is located. On getting there, the party had already started and I met them in the worship session which I quickly joined and took some pictures of my stepmom and her workers.

At the end of the program, I decided to see a friend Akinyeke Olayinka who is a fashion designer so, I headed to her shop. She was very busy because of the festive period yet she gave me enough time and attention since we last saw in 2018.

At about 8:17pm, we left Shomolu and headed to my Dad's house that was when I saw something that reminded me I'm still in Lagos and Lagosians will always be who they are. Along Ikeja express road, I saw LAGBUS which has its own separate Lane in traffic congestion then I asked do LAGBUSes get involved in traffic and the response was I had left Lagos for too long.

At last, we were able to pass through the congestion and we got home by 11:48pm. I am well exhausted and I reminded myself that I can't start my family in Lagos because traffic stress will kill me one day.

Thanks for taking time to read through my post.. Graciás.
