The Diary Game: Better Life #1 - Recycling
Hello to all Steemit members! How are you today?
This is my 1st blog for the “Better Life” new theme of the Diary Game! After the successful season 2, we are now comprising to the newest game with lots of category to choose from and I’m excited now to start and share my theme for today... “recycling .”
I’m a person who likes to collect bottled caps and why... because it can be recycled. When I learned from a workmate that bottle caps were used for making syringe I started separating them from the pet bottle just like the pictures below.
We are drinkers of mineral water and these collection were proof of drinking liquids of any kinds from the bottle.
I love drinking pure water while my son loves juice drinks. I usually ordered online 2 boxes of mineral water and during summer we really consumed a lot that I need to order or buy again from the supermarket. Except the caps we’re also having lots of pet bottles to throw every week. Instead of throwing, I made them into pot holders where I can placed the veggies that started rooting. Here are the vegetables that I’ve placed inside the pet bottle...
Photo was taken this summer and I planted them at our mini garden when the roots had fully grown.
Another thing that I used for bottle caps was scaling fishes. Instead of using knife the bottle caps rough lid area can actually used for removing the tough scale of fishes. In our country Philippines we usually bought fishes in wet market and before cooking we are the ones cleaning and scaling the fishes unlike here in japan you can request the wet market in charge person to clean the fishes with free of charge so it was never a trouble to clean and removed the scales. If you haven’t tried using bottle lid caps for scaling you can try one.
The other thing that I used for recycling pet bottle was this...
What inside of this pet bottle was the skin of onion and pure water. I watched the video on how to make fertilizer out of skin onion. Instead of just throwing we can make veggies nutrition by preserving the skin. The color turned orange after a few days of soaking and preserving up to 2 weeks or more you can used as plants fertilizer.
Another recycling I have done was refilling empty pet bottles of water for watering plants outside our house. Instead of spending time fetching water from time to time I refilled these pet bottles then before going to work if I don’t have time I picked these bottles which I’ve placed besides the vegetables area then watering the plants made my time less consuming so it helps me saved time a lot.
Here you are steemians. Hope I did a little help to lessen the garbage disposals of pet bottles by recycling them with the photos I’ve presented above. I will still continue doing it every time we have a pet bottle used for our daily drink and hope that it inspire you to take time too recycling your own garbage disposals.
