The Diary Game: Better Life Grow your Own
Hello Steemians! A good day to all of you!
To start my blog now with the Better Life caption on improving the lives of each steemians and help the community by sharing a post about things that can contribute for the improvement of lives let me share my little garden for the theme “ Grow your own!”
I am living in Yokohama Japan where the standard of living is very high and the quality of life is much of the ordinary also consider as one of the busiest city place. When it comes to food and other necessities the amount of prices are getting higher because of the tax leverage. To suffice our budget from the increasing demands of high cost of living, I cultivate a portion of the lot we live in with some veggies to augment the consumption of our daily foods with the fruits of these veggies I planted in our mini garden.
This is the bell pepper I planted a month ago, if you have read my diary game season 2 in which I posted the photos of this veggie the sizes have grown doubled now bearing fruits already ready to harvest in a couple of days. It’s raining now that’s why the photo looked wet all over and making the fruits awesome for plants really like rains that gives them power to expand more and grow healthy.
This bitter gourd is the 2nd fruit already and I saw a few more still little but happy to see this vegetable bearing more fruits now.
Urban life is really different from rural life because you can’t just plant vegetables in areas that doesn’t allowed you to but since we are in a place much higher than the lower ground and we are on the 1st floor of the 2 story apartment the reason why I can put up plants along the sides of the fence and can plant in pots of different sizes.
Way back in my province Pampanga Philippines that I used to plant more vegetables in the wide area , I reminisced those days reminding me to start putting it in this place too even though with scarce soil for putting veggies still I found ways and now bearing fruits and expanding to the fences.
The camote or sweet potato I placed in this soil plastic bag is now expanding up not on the soil grounds since there is no soil here hoping that this will bear fruits inside even in this amount. What I like about this plant is not only the fruit but also the leaves since we Filipinos loves to eat leaves of different kinds of vegetables this camote tops we called which provides our body with full of nutrients is really delicious cooking eat with fish of canned goods or simply steamed.
The weather now here is getting colder everyday and I’m worried about the fruits might get damaged because of the climate. Hoping that before the autumn season end all fruits will be harvested on time so that we can enjoy the taste of these veggies giving us nourishment and healthy body for our everyday life activities.
Thank you for taking time to read and hope that you enjoyed reading.

It's a fruitful autumn. I've heard how to grow potatoes in the soil in a bag. It's exciting to think that potatoes are growing in there.
Yes, I also watched videos like that and that inspired me to grow sweet potatoes in soil bag. I think it really works. Thanks 😊
