The Diary Game Season3//been Wenesday was a happy for me

Good evening my lovely family,my fellow steemians,trust you are all strong and healthy,and i know you enjoyed Gods blessing from the showers of the rain that chilled the weather at night till this morning. I want to use this opportunity to tell you people how my day went, i know you will find it interesting. I wish you all happy reading.

I woke up from sleep in the early hours of the morning,after my morning worship,i started getting ready for work. I am a teacher,and i teach in a secondary school. I went on transfer to this new school named:Secondary Techincal School Amapu Ntigha. There in the school the principal assigned Civic Education and government to me as the subject to teach the senior secondary that is from SS1-SS3. Though it was outside the subject i was employed for,i enjoyed the two subjects because it was an interactive class.

My principal told me that the school has been invited for a quiz competition in the local government level of which the winners will represent there local government at the zonal level then to the final stage the state level. This is the first time my school is embarking in this competition,and considering the short notice we receive,my principal was considering on not participating for this competition.

I came in to the play by pleading with my principal to give me a chance to expose his students so that they will be brave and bold and not shying away from competition. She accepted and from last week Friday i started drilling them. The competition covers subjects like Physics,Mathematics,Chemistry,Biology,CRS,civic,English and current affairs. Below are the picture of my students when i was drilling them to select two students that will represent me

After the drilling i selected two students,a boy and a girl. They were very shy because they have never participated in a competition before. I encouraged them and told them to give it a trial,that this quiz is going to widen there knowledge and also meet there fellow students and interact with them. Besides no body is going to purnish them for failing if they fail,because we are aware they have not done it before.

On the D day i brought them to venue for the exam,i noticed they were shy and shivering,i calmed them down and register their names. Other schools came too with there teacher and also register their students. It was two local government that came,Isialangwa north and Isialangwa south,with the schools there. From Isialangwa north of which my school came frome were 15 schools,and from south 5 schools.
The moderators for the quiz came in and announce the rules for the quiz and how many rounds they have. Then the quiz commence. On the first round my school scored only 1 point,while other schools were scoring 8,6,5 and some schools that score zero. After the first round we went for break and the students were served snacks and soft drinks. But my students refused to eat,they were very angry that they didnt even got up to 2 points. I encouraged them,and told them this is not the end of the game,is not over until the final whistle.
The break was over and they went in for the second round,to my suprise my students were performing,answered all there questions,even answer bonus points. The interesting part of this was that all the school that scored a point or zero came to the top of the tables on the second round.

Then on the third round my student came to the top of the table with 6 points. And then the competition ended. The scores were totalled,and the school that came first got 13 points,while my school that came second score 12 points. I was happy with my students,they made me proud,i never believe they will perform to this extent,but am glad they got to this level. At the end they announce that it was only a school will represent each local government. With that my school was disqualified for the next competition going to be in the zonal level. The organizers been RAYS FOUNDATION gave each school the sum of #5000,and a book. And for the winners they were given the sum of #20,000,#10,000 for the school and #5000 each for the two students that participated.

The winners will go the Aba zone for the competition. The competition came to a climax,and my students was very happy to participate in the competition and to come out with 2nd position out of 15 schools.

They promise that next time this competition will be held,they will not disappoint their school again,they must come out with the first position. I saw the zeal and the courage in them to deliver next time such competition comes up.
