One of my favorite pastries, Egg pie!
This is probably one of the most basic of all pies, it's the Egg pie!
To be honest, all pies are delicious to me, especially the toppings with fruits. It's refreshing to eat fruit pies, that's why I won't refuse them. I think the reason why I like pies so much is because of the ok balance of the pastry and the toppings. Just like this egg pie, I don't want too much custard, for me, a good balance between the pastry and the custard should be equal parts of each or just a little more custard.
I have tried before to eat an egg pie that has too much custard compared to the pastry, that's why I didn't finish it. I didn't finish it because I quickly got tired of eating egg pie like that.
This egg pie serves as my snack because it's filling. As always, it also pairs perfectly with coffee. Now, I'm reminded to reduce my consumption of coffee because I have trouble falling asleep at night. Even though I'm lying down and I want to sleep, I still have a hard time getting to sleep. I think my drinking too much coffee has something to do with it.
Anyway, I really enjoyed eating this egg pie.
