Motoball (Motorcycle Polo) is similar to football, but all players (except goalkeepers) are riding motorcycles, and the ball is much bigger. Motorcycle Polo first began as an officially organized sport in the mid-1930s.

Moto-ball is played between two teams with five players on each team. Four players on each team are on motorcycles, while the fifth player, who is a goalkeeper does not use a motorcycle. The sport is usually played on an association football field, with same sized goalposts. There is a semi-circular area in front of each goal post that riders cannot enter into.

The ball used for the sport is similar to a football but is bigger measuring 40 cm in diameter. A match is played in four 20 minute periods. The objective of the sport is to score as many goals as possible. Goals can only be scored by kicking the ball with legs, from outside the restricted area.

The video was filmed in Skuodas, Lithuania
Equipment used: CANON 700D and DJI Mavic Air
Teams playing: Skuodas Vs Kretinga

Nice little window into your life in Lithuania. I I have just spent ten years in Cambodia and now living with my Cambodian wife and kids here in Paramaribo, Suriname. I taught Cambodian language classes there and had several Lithuanian students. I'd love to visit Estonia and Lithuania someday. I gave you a follow and resteemed your post. I'll stay tuned for more adventures. If you want, have a look at my first travel post from our new life here in Suriname and let me know what you think. Nice story @invisusmundi.

Hey, :D Lithuanians were learning Cambodian. How cool is that? Yap, you could visit all three Baltic sisters (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) in one day! :D That's how small they are!

If anybody wants a deeper look into this sport, here is the final (Russia vs Germany) of the 2019 European Championship in Germany.

Is this sport popular in Germany @beatminister? :)

No, most people have never heard of it, I guess.

:D I think it is not common anywhere in the world! Only a few people know it. :)

Thank you for stopping by my friend👍

That is all I could say when I saw it too. @Kamile is from Skuodas herself. She is used to seeing this kind of stuff, but it was the first time for me. I think Lithuania has only two motoball teams. They compete mostly between each other and against some foreign motorballers: Germans, Ukrainians, etc. Thank you for resteeming the post! :) How is the weather in Vilnius? :D

22-24 C and frequent rain showers. In what part of the world are you now?

Actually, we live in Klaipėda now. :) Our trips got shorter as we do not have so much time anymore. :) Klaipėda is so calm and silent compared to Vilnius. :D Except the oldtown of course. There are many tourists buzzing around every day.

This is something new with a ball.
Glad you can share and tell the world about it.

There was a serious accident that day. :) We thought it would not be appropriate to show the people that part of the event. However, the game has been incredibly captivating for the people watching it. :)

Hey @deepwaters! I'll upload the Next one today. :)
