RE: DTube | Story in My Life :) ! #10
Well, I appreciate you for asking him first, if you really did. But I'm not really sure Erold knew that you were going to profit from his content – certainly your message to him doesn't imply that. Just to be sure, I reached out to him on Twitter today and asked him about this. I'll let you know his response.
If you already went on to create your own character, then why not create all the drawings for the whole video? You can justify your behavior all you want. You know exactly what you did. You took a shortcut. You knew that you could take Erold's video and that would be an easy way for you to churn out videos for dTube. Even if Erold would legally agree to this, what you're doing is still morally wrong – and I wholeheartedly feel that someone should tell you that. Giving a portion of your stolen profits to charity doesn't correct or save your behavior either.
Additionally, you don't know how much all other dTubers are putting into creating their content. You can look at this video by @paolajane where she talks about the struggles and expenses in vlogging for dTube. I'm willing to bet that she spends hours and hours in creating each and every one of her videos.
This path you're on now is really short-sighted. Sooner or later people will learn what you're doing here. You are a prime example of why there's is a flagging system in place on Steemit.
