When the laundry is left to dry after drying

One way in which the fabrics no longer smell really pleasant after drying, may be that the drying process has simply taken too long. When the weather is nice, it's a good idea to let the laundry dry outside.

Laundry smells when it comes out of the dryer

If you dry your clothes in a tumble dryer, it can also happen that they smell unpleasant afterwards. The reason: Often, bacteria have deposited, which go over to the clothes and make for a nasty stuffiness. Tip: You can remedy this by cleaning your dryer regularly. Regular cleaning of the dryer also ensures that the drying time is reduced. This saves energy and also prevents the previously described too slow drying of the laundry, which also leads to a bad smell.

A final tip: do not hang your laundry damp in the closet. Since these are usually closed, and therefore poorly ventilated, the unpleasant smell can also arise there.
