TITHING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MONEY AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH FOOD
Have you ever imagined what life would be like if food never existed?
Wait, what? No! No! No! There would be no cake! Once I got over the initial shock of cake not existing it would be awesome.
There would be no dehungerdration( lack of food that can result in fatality). There would be no death due to starvation. That would be awesome! No one would starve to death.
We however do not find ourselves in that reality. The reality that we currently find ourselves in, has determined that in order to exist we need sustenance to sustain our being.
Did you know that the Creator knew that there would be people who needed sustenance. Tithing is written in the foundation of His law. If we followed the law of tithing there would be no dehungerdration.
If you read Deuteronomy 14:22-29 you will find that at the end of three years the tithe that was yielded was brought forth for the Levite who was not given land as an inheritance, for the orphan and the widow to eat their fill, and so they would not be dehungerdrated. Also if the journey was to long the tithe would be exchange for money and when the journey was completed it was exchanged back into tithe so they could eat.
If you read Matthew 23:23-28 and Luke 11:42 you will find that the scribes and Pharisees tithe with garden herbs like dill, mint and cumin. Yet they neglected the weightier matters of the law which are justice and mercy and faithfulness! This can be summed up as loving the Creator.
If you read Leviticus 27:30-32 you will find that any tithe that the people gave belonged to the Creator. It was made holy.
The Creator gave the best fruits of the land to the orphans, widows and Levites. The first shall be last and the last first.
If you read Malachi 3 you will find that the Creator speaks metaphorically and physically. The people have robbed the Creator by not following his laws, statutes and commands. The people have followed wickedness. The people murdered their children by sacrificing them to baal which is also known as moloch. The Creator was being robbed of his people because they where being sacrificed in cold blooded murder. The Creator is using language as a metaphor Then gather my wheat into my barns(this is found in Matthew) Tithe is used to describe that He was being robbed of His people due to their wickedness. The fruit of the soil would not be destroyed because the Creator had compassion and blessed those who followed his laws, statutes and commandments.
If you read Numbers 18 you will find that the Creator also receives a tithe from the Levi priests which is fat I do not understand why fat is sacred. I think that is weird.
