Here the list of top 10 tallest mountain in the world. If you are professional mountain climber, I bet you already have heard most of the name I am going to mention here. They are not only beauty but also discipline. The mountains have rules. If you climb the mountain during the hurricane, I am sure they have enough power to take your life away from your body.

1. Mount Everest

Mountain Everest is standing 8,848 meters of 29,029 feet. First ascent was done in 1953 and since then, there are more mountain climbers who had tried to conquer the mountain. Some of them success, some of them did not.

2. K2 Summit/ Qogir/ Godwin Austen.

K2 Summit is 8,611 meters or 28,251 feet high. K2 Summit is part of Mount Everest and it was conquered for the first time in 1954.

3. Kanchenjunga

Kangchenjunga Mountain is rising 8,586 meters or 28,169 feet high. This mountain is a family of Mount Everest. The pick of the mountain was touched by human for the first time in 1955

4. Lhotse

Lhotse is another part of Mount Everest and the mountain is standing 8,516 meters or 27,940 feet high. The first successful attempt to conquer the mountain was in 1956.

5. Makalu

Makalu is part of Mount Everest /Lhotse Mountain and the mountain alone is 8,485 meters high or 27,838 feet. The First ascent of this mountain was done in 1955.

6. Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu is another family of mountain Everest and the height is 8,188 meters or 26,864 feet. The fist attempt to conquer the mountain and success was done in 1954.

7. Dhaulagiri I

Dhaulagari I is rising 8,167 meters high or 26,795 feet and the mountain is a member of K2 summit. The fist climbed up to the top of the mountain was done in 1960 and success.

8. Manaslu

Manaslu is 8,163 meters high or 26,781 feet. The mountain is part of Cho Oyu Mountain and it was successfully climbed for the first time in 1956.

9. Nanga Parbat

Nanga Parbat is standing 8,126 meters or 26,660 feet high. The mountain is part of Dhaulagiri and the peak of the mountain was sat for the first time in 1953.

10. Annapurna I

Annapurna 1 is 8,091 meters high or 26,545 feet high. The mountain is part of Cho Oyu and it was ascended for the first time in 1950.
