Kathmandu is the center of Nepal's art, culture history. It has Hindu and Buddhist majority. Tourism is an important part of the economy as the city is the gateway to the Himalayas. There are also 5 star hotels and several casinos and clubs.

Kathmandu was ranked third among the top ten travel destinations in the world by TripAdvisor and ranked as number one in Asia.
