Depresion

Daylight Savings Time has arrived. The days are getting shorter, the nights longer, darker, colder. The demon Depression pulls on its chains. Evil hates sunlight. The Holidays crawl closer. Those of us whom are alone become more vulnerable. The Demon is shrewd, it waits. The Demon pokes, looking for weak spots.
I have a tool. Find a Toys For Tots drop off box. Speak with the person who said "Sure, place the toy box right there..".
Start talking up the wonderful deeds The USMC Reserve does with this fabulous program. Become a non appointed Ambassador for "Random Acts of Kindness Coalition". The Demon will go wild. The Demon will say "Why are you doing this?" The Demon will say "People are cold, cruel and uncaring". But The People you deal with will warm to you. Be the "Pebble in The Pond". Send out good energy. Send out love, kindness and joy.
In the tenants of my faith, When one gives anonymously, the wave of positive energy becomes super charged. Any person Christian or not can imagine a child whom life has been unkind to finding a Christmas Toy just for them that they never expected. We in our minds eye can see the raw unbridled joy that surrounds and flows from that small person. You will have made a positive difference. You will have done good. You will have practiced the art of "Random Acts of Kindness!" This will drive the Demon back into the dark. You will be closer to the light. That is just a good thing.
Worse thing that could happen is you just might have some fun.
