The Major of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu Warned the People About Corona Virus 13.03.2020

The Major of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu explained the precautions taken by Istanbul Municipality in a television program. There are 30 mobile teams continously patrolling in the city. The public transportation vehicles are cleaned and disinfected multiple times a day. Drivers are trained to cope with the spread of the virus. The Municipality is working together with the Department of Religious Matters and province municipalities for the cleaning of Mosques. He also warned the people especially the elder people not to use public transportation unless it is necessary. He also stated that the decision of the government to shut down the schools was right and necessary.
