Transhumanism is already here.

It is in the form of AI and automation. Not only is AI an extension of our limbic system, but we've off loaded a large portion of our conscious thought processes to handheld devices with 24/7 connectivity.

While it can be distracting, and sometimes terrifyingly so, this has freed us to pursue many more esoteric goals.
We're already cyborgs, mentally, it's just not centralized in each and every being... it's distributed amongst a vast amount of support networks. Immortality, and uploading to the machine god is already here, and its basically social media. What started as oral tradition and history, transformed to written text and art, has now transcended to electrons in massive matrices of redundancy.

You just won't necessarily experience it past your local biological death, for now, although your presence and influence will be alive and well far longer than ever.
