Each year hundreds of thousands of book publishers and dealers gather around to sedate the escalating lust of bibliophiles. While Andy Rooney quoted it as "THE BEST BOOK FAIR IN THE WORLD”, The New York Antiquarian Book Fair had its 57th exhibition in March this year. It is one the prestigious events of the year where international dealers bring an immense collection of rare books diversifying in art, photography, autographs, and much more. Its next big event will be held in March, 2018 at the Park Avenue Armory. Meanwhile there are many other book fairs in New York that will keep you engaged throughout the year.

The event is organized particularly for Teenagers between the ages of 13-18. The festival will give the participants a chance to embrace the traditional Irish Gaeltacht, observing the Irish language in different aspects. The participants will be able to explore the Irish culture such as céilí dancing through Gaelic. The ticket ranges between $120 – $150.

More than 200 local poets attend this festival to showcase their poetry collections and chapbooks. This poetry festival features poetry readings, collectives and children's writing workshops. The event will be attended by notable poets including Sapphire, Deborah Landau, Aja Monet, and Patrick Phillips. The Purpose of the festival has always been to bring to light unknown, talented poets.
This poetry festival is free to attend and open to public but the general admission is about $14-$20.

This year in New York City, 'Now Hear This' will bring together the best in podcasting for a fan-focused weekend. There will be meet and greet opportunities for the fans. Persons under the age of 16 will not be allowed because some podcasts might contain strong explicit language.
There will be twenty-five live podcast performances featuring in their second annual festival including Comedy Bang! Bang, How Did This Get Made?, Criminal and many others. T-shirts, hoodies and posters will also be available to buy at the festival merch booths. The ticket costs between $150 - $300.

This is one of the biggest literary festivals featuring national and international authors. About 300 authors and 200 booksellers gather for one week of Bookend Events occurring across New York City. The events include a Children's Day and a celebratory Festival Day.
This book festival is great for book lovers of all ages. This is a great opportunity for authors to mingle with important professionals and establish valuable contacts in the publishing industry. Famous authors such as Margaret Atwood, Salman Rushdie, Pete Hamill, and Ed Yong have attended the previous festivals.

The fair will also include special events such as writing workshops, readings, and The Contemporary Artists' Book Conference.

The New York Comic Con is a huge event where fans get a chance to interact with their idols in the Autograph Section, and view sneak peeks of upcoming movies and TV shows. The event features the greatest in comic books, graphic novels, and anime. Tickets cost $45-$50.

Bringing together tech-geeks and innovators, the FinTech Festival will allow people to understand the facilities that the Internet can provide. Their main motive is to renovate the global economy making it virtual and automated and integrating the capital markets with the existing ones. The speaker who will be part of the event include Michael McGovern (Managing Director & CIO, Brown Brothers Harriman), Nikhil Singhvi (Global Head of Market and Client Connectivity, Credit Suisse), Terry Roche (Principal, Head of Business Development and FinTech, TABB Group) and a few others.

This festival is the first in New York that is solely dedicated to Arab Cinema with regular movie screenings from all over the Arab World with actors and movie makers. The 2016 fair featured award winning movies like As I Open My Eyes (Tunisia), The Idol (Palestine), Nawara (Egypt) as well as novel appearances of Egyptian satirist Bassem Youssef, Tunisian actor Dhafer L'abidine and Egyptian rising star Jamila Awad.
This year’s festival will feature special appearance for Hisham Faqeeh, Saudi comedian and star of Baraka Meets Baraka, which won best First Director Award at Berlinale Film Festival in 2016. The ticket prices are between $75 – $100.

The Anime NYC festival will be showcasing unseen Japanese pop culture in this three-day fair. The event will present Sailor Moon Day comprising of guest appearances in jubilance of Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal. The event will feature ten members of Sailor Moon Crystal's English cast including Stephanie Sheh (Sailor Moon / Usagi Tsukino), Kate Higgins (Sailor Mercury / Ami Mizuno), Cristina Vee (Sailor Mars / Rei Hino), and more. The tickets cost between $45-$60, with VIP tickets selling for an extra $275.
