Billabong is a dead end river, formed because the river's course changes direction and leaves isolated inlets that fill with water. The word billabong probably originates from an Aboriginal language, because this phenomenon is common in Australia.

In Indonesia there is one billabong which has extraordinary views. It was so beautiful that it was called the billabong of the angels. Its name is Anggel's Billabong, hidden in one corner of Nusa Penida, Bali.
One of the rivers flowing on the mainland of Nusa Penita is trapped in small niches, forming a clear temporary pool. The water is bluish green like a mirror. Beautiful to look at and soothing to the body if we soak in it.

At low tide, the pool flanked by coral cliffs is safe enough for swimming. But you should avoid playing at Angel's Billabong when the tide is high. Seen from the top of the cliff while taking a photo is enough to capture vacation moments, right?
Not only local tourists who visit Angel's Billabong. Foreign tourists are attracted by its beauty. Maybe there's nothing wrong with this place being named the most beautiful billabong in the world. Where else can we find a dead-end river as beautiful as this?...
