travel passion | shenzhen and hong kong |

in #travel7 years ago

Greetings steemit Community.

I'm a graphic designer from Germany and a passionate traveler and photographer.

I would like to share with you my stories and passion.

My first story begins in shenzhen china.

Shenzhen is one of the fastest growing cities in the world and so it is interesting to see its cultural development.

i wanted to explore shenzhen and Hong Kong (which is across the border) in between 2 weeks.  Its a short time for such an culural overdose

The contrast between the skyscrapers in some really relaxing places are insane :D

Such hidden places are pure excitement to explore

A big problem is the smog....on bad days you cant see shit. Not mentioned the health risk you get from being outside on a smoggy day

BUT... some times you get lucky and its a clear sky

and with more luck you can catch some rare contrast photos

Hong Kong is such a big difference to Shenzhen from the people to the environment it's amazing to see how different neiburs can be. Below are some impressions from Hong Kong and allocated islands.

Hello there, thanks for sharing. Even i lived in hong kong so long, i havent went to shenzhen much, not since like 20 years ago. Lol. How do you compare between both places? I remembered from my memory that shenzhen is really old. I guess now this has all changed since china gets the power like the whale now :)

hope you enjoy hk. :)

hey ,thats a really a long time :D. I like hk more the place is much more peaceful than china :D. Yeah your right shenzhen is low on old culture background i find. It's a big working city but it has its own beauty. Hk is therefore more west oriented and i feel like more open too travelers than shenzhen.
It was a really exciting experience for me

Hello. Beautiful pics and places :) Followed and resteemed!! :)

I love the photos! Being there with the temples seems like such a trip, I'd love to just sit down and think there. How expensive is Shenzhen? My big hope is to go travelling once I graduate, and places like that are exactly what I want. I've found that China can be quite expensive though so my plans are Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Where would you say you felt the most "old" culture in China?
