Silent Conversations With Mother Nature <3
Morning everybody!
Today's post is one from my old travels to the Himalayan Range. I remember practically jumping around the house before this trip. (when I was also younger) We took a family trip to Northern parts of India. For e.g.: Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and so on. It was in the month of October, hence veryyy chilly too :D
The first destination I am sharing about is Rohtang Pass located in the Himachal Pradesh.
This was the first time that I was gazing at a snow mountains this close.
Some self-obsession :P
Snowball anyone?
Here comes some epic self-embararassment. I had never tried skiing before. And I thought I would be damn good with my skills. :P But I Don't remember standing longer than a minute with these on. The funny/sad part is that my guide found it hilarious for some reason along with my family who were throwing snow balls from the same distance as the picture itself.
"Why don't you just kill me" - I thought to myself! :P
Further ahead we moved to Jammu and Kashmir. The following are pictures from Srinagar which is the summer capital of the state.
That's me, my brother @sauravrungta and my mom peeking out in the mini balloon ride!
These are shots from the boat that we were in called "Shikara" on Dal Lake. It was so serene and peaceful! <3
Can you spot the balloon we were in?
These are the markets and boathouses. I remember being amazed at the concept. We stopped by one or two such houses and they had one of the finest collections of Kashmiri shawls. Row your way to Shopping!
According to the locals, the word written on the tree meant allah.
Next we boarded some horses and started our journey to the Vaishno Devi temple. The ride was very peaceful and thrilling at the same time. The pathway was literally the edge of mountain and I tried my best not to focus on 'what if the horse fell' :P
It was a very beautiful sunset and people were chanting holy prayers along the way.
The city of Katra. Just. Beautiful.
I definitely want to visit these places again someday... maybe alone as well! Have you ever traveled to these regions before?
Keep Creating
Lots of Love <3

Yep, one of the best times ever. Thank you!
Welcome
I would love to go to the Himalaya area someday! Looks amazing! How cold was it?..and about the skiing, everybody can learn to ski! You just need more practice! :)
You should! Well I remember not being able to move my fingers and the air getting thinner and thinner, so must have been insanely cold :P
Thank you so much :)
First visit to Himalaya is always like first love. Inscribed in Stone. Etched in memory forever. And so is every other visit.
One really can't get bored of these towering examples of humility ever.
Well said. Being amongst the nature is rejuvenating for sure and can't get enough of it!
What an awesome trip! That balloon ride seems very thrilling! Especially when it crossed over the lake. I love the boathouses, they looked well-crafted and designed.
Actually the balloon didn't move across the lake. It was tied to the ground in such a way that it could only lift above at a certain height and then land back on the floor :)
Glad you found them of interest :)
Like the snow and lake pics, looks like a fun trip. First time skiing is embarrassing for most , it does look funny in the firs pic :)
Means a lot coming from you!
Hahah definitely :D
The pics are really awesome !!Well, I am not up to Himalaya till now but planning for it someday !!From the places of snow I have traveled I can say that "Snowballs hurts a lot when thrown by someone even in a funny way !!"
The Himalayan beauty is so pristine, one can just get lost just by gawking at these gigantic beauties <3
Nice one sir.
Thanks..
