in #travel8 years ago

Firgas is a small town in the north of Gran Canaria. Recognized as a town in 1488. In 1995, it was created a cascade of waterfalls - the main attraction of the town.

Main square of the town

The cascade of waterfalls begins from this square.

On the right - benches and over them the heraldic emblems of the municipalities of the island.

View down to the main square

From the main square you immediately get to the cathedral and the stream flowing in the wall

The windows in the wall of the left and to the right of the stairs to the next level are access to the stream. They used its to wash their clothes. In one place near the creek a sculptural group was made.

A bit aside from the city center (about 200 m) is another sculptural group
