The total area of 312,679 km2 that reaches the Baltic Sea at the north and ends with long mountain ranges on the Czech, Slovak, and Ukrainian national borders in the south. Amazing nature and extensive environment, with a very diverse landscape. Do you know which country I am going to tell you about?

Well - Poland. The East-Central European country, divided into 16 administrative regions, which offer their visitors a bit of everything, really! From already mentioned sea and mountains, through pristine forests and meadows, national parks, rivers and crystal-clear lakes (the most famous one, Masuria Region, described below), up to even - surprisingly - the area of 32km2 sands recognized as the only Central-European desert.

I hope that this introduction has inspired you to continue reading this short tail - because I am going to introduce you to some of the most beautiful places in Poland. This time, especially exceptional as presented through the lens of the magical and colourful Springtime.

  • Podlasie and Biebrza Valley - the very peaceful and picturesque region. Proud of its natural and cultural heritage but also breathtaking views. Located in the north-eastern part of Poland.

Hope you like our first spot. But now - the most important - how to get there? The shortest way would be flying to Warsaw, from where you will have an easy access by car, with about 3 hours drive (target Bialystok, one of the biggest cities of this region). This convinient driving-solution gives you already an extra chance to enjoy some beautiful scenery on your way.

  • Masuria Region- one of the most beautiful places in Poland with more than 2 000 lakes grounded out by glaciers, around 14,000 – 15,000 years ago.

The easiest way to get there would be a trip from Warsaw to Olsztyn, one of the three largest cities of this region. You can find many direct trains, so no worries. Also, if you are coming through to the west of Poland - consider Poznan - this city will have the best connection. Again, direct trains. Just here - target another city of Mazuria - Ełk. And finally, good news for those who may travel directly from Munich, Berlin or London. You can take a plane to the Olsztyn Mazury Airport (about 60 kilometres away from the city center).

  • Słowiński National Park - the very magical area, which consists of huge shifting dunes, dynamically shaped by wind, thus, constantly changing their shape and size within the year. This unique Miracle of Nature had been listed by UNESCO at the end of '70s, and sure it's worth visiting.

Easiest to go there would be flying to Gdańsk, from where you can get a bus to Łeba (small city, also in North of Poland) or if you are coming during the summertime/vacation break, so June - end of August - consider one of the trains from Gdańsk to Lębork and continue shorty by rail or a bike.

Now dear Steemians, it's time to finish our trip. I hope you had an amazing time watching all these photographs. If so, boost your creativity already today and start planning your upcoming trips to Poland. Of course, feel free to ask questions if you have any - I'll be more than happy to help. **Cheers! And hope to see you, somewhere there...** 👋
