Geographically, Lampuuk Beach is located in Lhoknga-Aceh Besar sub-district, it is actually rather confusing to distinguish between Lampuuk Beach and Lhoknga Beach. But most people mention the name "Lhoknga Beach" for the area behind Lhoknga Golf Course up to the waterfront gardens after the Andalas Cement Complex.

The naming of "Lampuuk" beach is aimed at the coastline extending from "Babah Satu" to "Babah Dua". Although the second location of the beach is close, but both have their own advantages.

If now the "Lampuuk" beach is the same as Banana Boat recreation and grilled fish, then Lhoknga Beach is better known as Golf, Surfing and Fishing activities. Particularly to challenge big and fierce waves. Lhoknga Beach is well-known among cross-country surfing communities.
