Blue Lagoon of Surigao del Sur

The Blue Lagoon is also known as ENCHANTED RIVER, located in the middle of the forest of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Enchanted River is becoming a well-known by tourist worldwide and it was turned into a first-class natural tourist attraction. It is well regulated and well run by the local government.

The crystal clear blue water comes in the spring somewhere and no one knows how really deep it is. There is no explanation to the color of the water and many divers were attracted to explore the spring. The last exploration was done last March 2015 at the depth of 82 ft by a group of divers from the Unversity of San Carlos.

The local Government of Hinatuan prohibits from swimming at the heart of the river for the sake of preserving the beauty of the River. They allowed swimming 10 meters away from the main pool. Large fish can be found swimming in the river. There is also fish feeding where you can see the fish above. Cottages, shower area, Comfort Rooms, Dining Area, Waiting area and wide Parking area are provided to accommodate tourists.

Aside from the River itself, there are different gifts from Nature for those who want to explore more. You can also try Island Hopping at Port Lamon Bay or stop over at Sibadan Fish Cage where you can find different aquatic species.
