Why Hurghada?

For those who have researched about the cities in the Egyptian Red Sea, it realized that the most famous destination is Sharm el-Sheikh in the Sinai Peninsula. Second Hurghada, which lies on the mainland. Our preference for Hurghada was for 3 factors: time, money and security.

Arriving and departing:

Already to arrive in Hurghada, we took a flight from Egyptair from Cairo. The Hurghada airport is small but well organized.

From Hurghada, we went to Luxor on a car trip we spent around 3h30min. We hired this transport with the guide that accompanied us all over the country. It is also possible to do this stretch of a plane, but we wanted to go by car to save money, as I explained, and because, in the end, it would be quicker and more practical to go by car. I recommend you take the trip that way too.

Accommodation in Hurghada:

The accommodation in Hurghada was the last one we decided on the whole trip. That's because there are numerous resort options and it's difficult to choose one. Lastly, we chose the Continental Hurghada and were absolutely delighted with the hotel. We took the "half board" option with breakfast and dinner. The buffet was amazing and I do not remember, from all the places I've ever stayed, to see such a great variety. The quality was also unquestionable. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The areas in common were also wonderful, far beyond what we could enjoy in just 3 days.

The values of the resorts are unbelievable. At the time we went, we paid about $ 100 a night, per couple, already including the 2 meals. For a 5 star resort on the beach. The price of the tours are also very attractive as much as $ 50.00 per person.
