That is a great way of story telling, I loved the fact that you tried to explain everything in detail from your dream of visiting the waterfall area, your close friend's reluctance to give you a company, then as a destiny to fulfill your wish, getting a close friend and planning celebrating Birthday etc, etc looks like a finely crafted screenplay

I loved the way you tried to split the journey into two halves to exploit the trip to its full potential. Halfway bus ride and then walking. And like some twist and turn you are getting the help of old man with the car. The way you tried to narrate all the incidents looks good.
