Hello very good day here I bring you a small trip to the Hotel Humboldt, in the Avila Caracas Venezuela where you spend a great day. In the first weekend of the year 2019 to start, with a very good foot the year I think it has continued and will continue like this. For a very long time decreed from now ready to follow my planned route, but fate places me in a bind and I of course follow it. Trying in other opportunities and places since we should always have a reservation plan, as a good traveler.

The complex was started in the government of General Marcos Pérez Jiménez and was in charge of the engineers Gustavo Larrazabal, Oscar Urreiztieta and the Venezuelan company ENECA. The original design of the hotel and the Ávila station are by the architect Tomás José Sanabria, who was part of the second generation of Venezuelan architects trained abroad and promoters of the international style. The landscaping was the responsibility of Roberto Burle Marx but due to the short time it never took place.

One of the attractions that we find in this place, full of street artists such as: Dancer, Charles Chaplin, Mimes and comedians. On this occasion the dancer poses for me very friendly and smiling, each actor enjoys his work or activity I stopped a while to contemplate this dancer. I really liked her work very much, she notes that she practices a lot, to do it very well I congratulate her and I thank her for her kindness and hopefully I will be a great dancer.

It was premiered by the Executive Power on December 11, 1956 and inaugurated on December 29 of the same year. Marcos Pérez Jiménez described it as a hostel of the 2000 level.

The cable cars began to operate to the public in December of the same year and were delivered to the Government of the old Federal District, now the Capital District, with the intention of incorporating it into the tourist heritage and keeping it in constant maintenance.

Last year marked the 60th anniversary of the inauguration or appointment of El Avila National Park, which is why these signs were previously. They were not after this celebration they placed a lot of information throughout the Park since they did not have signage. Some for new or visitors who do not know and climb the mountain would be lost because the mountain is treacherous. Hopefully and always do so and do not abandon it as before, since this is our natural heritage that we owe. Take care very well and do not damage it little by little I will show you this route.

According to some historians and architects, the main purpose of the building was to serve as a military strategic point, given that the access roads of the city would collapse, allowing them to mobilize more than 800 soldiers per hour through the cable car. Even so, the hotel did not provide military services, rather, important civic entertainment events were held.

My beautiful Caracas from the heights enjoying, of this beautiful day and pity weather that I ran out of battery already. That I came with another unloaded one was going to give them as it is the climate up here is like bipolar since on one side it is pure fog, cold and breeze and the other warm and clear heat all this in the same place and at the same time. I have only seen it here and I do not know why that climate and behavior of nature is due in this beautiful place.

It had a very short operating time, worked from 1957 to 1961 where it had to be closed due to the paralysis of the coastal cable car system, which lasted until 1967. It was delivered in concession to the Sheraton hotel chain in 1965, but due to the continuous reforms in the design of the same and the loss of money by the administrator the hotel service failed and had to be closed. In the 70's it was handed over to the INCE to turn it into a study center, and later it became Hotel Escuela. Finally an incident in the cable car system of Caracas would cause the abandonment of the complex in 1977.
