A journey to Ukrain #1

in #travel7 years ago

I always wanted to see all around the world. It was always a mistery for me but last year i broke the chain and made my first trip to abroad. To Kiev/Ukrain.

This was way out of business.

Ukraine was full of cultural things. Smells like history but also too cold. I mean really.. It was -15 the first day... We've been there for 7 days and nearly all days we travel around the city but we didn't manage to finish. They have lots of museums, churches, historical places and many restaurants from different cultures. But the architecture, i really melted..

Look at this beauty I'm shaking..

We have metro in our country too but I've never seen like this one in Kiev. It was like it goes deeper and deeper. It takes 2-3 minutes to get level 1. After you buy a ticket, you go into another escalator and it goes more deeeeeper. But every station is differet from another and every each one of them have an unique architecture.

You may see tons of sculptures all aroun the city. Ukranians are very loyal to their history and made/making sculptures to their heros.

The Motherland Monument

This monument was not like I've ever seen before. I've seen huge structures but this was way bigger. The overall structure measuring 102 and weighing 560 tons. Beneath this monument there is a museum about history of Ukrain in World War II.

Thats a litte of my journey. I'm really excited to talk about my other memories about this beautiful city. See you in another blog....
