Peru's Ceviche

in #travel7 years ago

While looking at some pictures I came across this picture from Peru. Fall 2017 I took a much needed vacation (had not been away for 6 years) and went on a cruise to South America. Cruising is relaxing with no worries as to where you are going to eat or sleep, every thing is there for you. Furthermore, you get to visit different ports, countries and culture. I did not want to do much nor had much expectations as all I wanted was some physical and mental rest (had just lost my mother). The cruise stopped in many countries but my favorite is Peru for the very simple reason that we booked a cooking class with a local. We went shopping at the open local market and then went to this individual's home to cook (she did the cooking). The fresh fish cooked beautifully and the ceviche (which I had been skeptical to try) was delicious. On top of all that while we were cooking the children came home from school and when they saw us they very politely IMG_0869.JPGwelcomed and kissed us on the cheeks............how beautiful is that!
