The pleasure of strolling along the beach
What is more relaxing than walking barefoot on the sand of the beach? In addition to being a treatment for the senses, this simple pleasure is very health y.
Walking, whether in the sand or elsewhere, improves blood circulation, making it an exercise especially suitable for people who spend much of the week in offices or lead a very sedentary life. When walking barefoot on the beach you will get the benefit of a gentle massage on the soles of your feet and, if you are right on the shore where the waves break, sea water will also massage your ankles, making this experience much more complete.
If the temperature allows, you can go a little further and enter the sea until the water reaches the height of your thighs. Walking at this depth, lifting your legs with each step, is exhausting, but it is a fantastic exercise to strengthen the muscles of the legs and glutes. Sea water, in addition to relaxing, contains minerals (iodine and sodium) that help prevent aging of the skin.
There are also benefits to beauty, because thanks to the friction of the sand, walking barefoot will give rise to softer feet in a short time, similar to a treatment of exfoliation. When we walk along the beach, the heat of the sun affects our endocrine system, the part of our body that secretes endorphins to make us feel relaxed and less stressed. But be careful, avoid walking in the central hours of the day so as not to be a victim of sunburn. The best moment is first thing in the morning or in the afternoon, always applying a sunscreen.
I wanted to share this post for your pleasure and usefulness, I hope your comments and contributions.
