Conquered the Highest Point in South Dakota!
Hello Steemit Community,
Yesterday, my boyfriend and I hiked to the top of the mountain. The highest point in South Dakota is the peak of Black Elk mountain, where it is located inside Black Hills National Forest. The peak of the mountain is 7,244 ft above sea level.
These are the views from the peak.
These were our tiring faces...
But in order to get up to the peak, we hiked for 3 miles that took us around 1.5 hours. It was a strenuous hike. It was 6 miles round trip and took us about 3 hours.
