Biasha people love the trees. 从瑶寨出来，我们的下一个目的地是贵州苗族芭莎。 “岜沙”在苗语中的意思是“草木繁多的地方”，岜沙村寨周围古树参天，风景优美。传说苗族先人在住进岜沙后，日子过得宁静、安详，他们认为主要是得益于这个地方茫茫森林的荫庇，于是，岜沙人像崇拜神一样崇拜古树。岜沙村的男人身背腰刀，肩扛火枪，被称为“中国最后一个枪手部落”，吸引了慕名而来的国内外游客，感受岜沙村寨的神秘。

岜沙人爱树。我们走在这些古树中间的时候，可以很清楚的看到上面有牌子写着：“生命树”、“长青树”---这是因为，每出生一个婴儿和每死去一个老人，他们都会种上一棵树。树是他们的生命，树是他们的灵魂，树是他们赖以生存的家园。他们比我们更明白人与树的关系，他们也比我们更清楚人与自然的和谐。

在这里你能看到无数棵大树，它们一个比一个高，一棵比一棵粗，遮天蔽日的。1977年，岜沙人砍倒村头一株直径1.2米的古香樟运到北京用于建造毛主席纪念堂，并于树址建造了一座八角亭以示纪念。

别的寨子要看女人，到了岜沙则要看男人。因为岜沙的男子和其他的地方不一样，他们一身土法染制的青布衣，宽大的直筒布裤，腰间别着砍刀与牛角火药筒，肩上扛着火枪，这不是古装电影里的角色，而是现实生活里的岜沙男人。
他们迎接我们了，是用他们的枪，火枪声划过天空，响彻云霄，他们是唯一一个能够允许配枪的少数民族，这是他们的骄傲，枪他们从不离手。

不过现在 枪不再打猎 打的是游人的腰包， 我也来试试， 看同事的样子还是很带劲的吧！

岜沙男人非常重视他们的发髻，发髻在岜沙苗语中称为：“户棍”，是男性装束中最重要的性别标志----剃掉头部四周大部分的头发，仅留下中部盘发为髻，并终生保持这种发式。据说，这种装束是从蚩尤老祖时代传下来的，也是迄今为止在中国所能见到的最古老的男性发式。曾有日本民俗学家寻根来到黔东南，岜沙人还引起了他们浓厚的兴趣，因为日本的武士装束和岜沙人的装束几乎没有二样，所以有人认为日本人的祖先就是岜沙人。

岜沙还有许多独特的传统风俗，如著名的镰刀剃头。当寨子里的男孩长到十六岁，要行成人礼，这一天要由村里有威望的长者用镰刀给他剃头。
