Biking in Cape Town: Woodstock Moto Co Ride

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Hi Guys!

I hope everyone is having a great year so far, it's flying by so fast already! I went out for a ride a little while ago with the crew from the Woodstock Moto Co, it was a really fun day and I think we had about 40+ bikers on the ride, maybe more!

Woodstock Moto Co

The Woodstock Moto Co is located in Woodstock, Cape Town. It's basically a motorcycle workshop, cafe and retail space.
You can purchase memberships which allow you to store and work on your bike, they also supply the basic tools you need to service, maintain and build a bike.

We arrived at the workshop at 9am sharp and ordered a some coffee and breakfast before our friends who were joining us arrived.

There were a couple YouTube vloggers there, most notably

The Route

The pre-ride briefing outlined the route we were riding that day ( Just a note, these never go as planned and people end up taking their own routes along the way haha )

The route would take us through the Cape Town CBD, up over Kloof Neck road, down through Camps Bay, through LLandudno and into Hout Bay for lunch at Pokololo.

The Return route would take us back through Hout Bay, along Constantia neck, past Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens , onto the M3 and back to the Woodstock Moto Co for a braai :)

Videos from the day:

I actually introduce a segment of this video haha :D
As usual like an sub to any of these content creators!

Cheers for now,
Adam.
