Columbia River Gorge 4/3/18 ~ A Spring After The Fire

In the summer of 2017 wildfires raged in many areas of the western U.S. One of the many apocalyptic scenes was the Columbia River Gorge. Footage showing these mountains ablaze was really a frightening sight. Burned trees can be seen all over these iconic mountains along the historic gorge.

It is still very beautiful, and the recovery from last year’s disaster is already well underway.

I bet Lewis and Clark didn’t see any “clouds” like this when they came this way.

Thank you so much for sharing these pictures! I have been much concerned about the Gorge after the fires. I have visited a few of these waterfalls, so I worried about what they would look like this spring. It's still early, but I'm much encouraged, seeing your pictures. Nature always comes back. Thanks for sharing!
