Shilaidaha Shilaidaha Kuthibari in memory of Rabindranath Tagore Khorshedpur Kuthibari is situated in Shilaidaha union under Kumarkhali upazila, 15 kilometers north of Kushtia town.
Rabindranath's grandfather Prince Dwarkanath Tagore received zamindari in 1807. Later in 1889 Rabindranath Tagore came here as a landlord. Here he administers zamindari till 1901. At this time, he started writing his famous book, Sonar Tari, Chitra, Chaitali, etc., and also translated the work of Gitanjali.
Since 1958, the Kuthibari of Rithindraath Tagore of Shilaidah is preserved as a glorious memory by the management of the Department of Archeology. After independence in 1971, after understanding the importance of Kuthibari, the collection of various art works of Kabir was made as a museum.
The whole building is now open for viewers as a museum. Rabindranath Tagore, poet Rabindranath, landlord Rabindranath, farmer friend Rabindranath, or Rabindranath's picture of different ages, in the 16th floor on the lower and second floor of the museum. From childhood till death pictures are preserved. Apart from the artwork and tidy arrangements with the furniture used in them.
Among other things used in the poet building, there are more than two speedboats named Chanchala and Chapla, Paltun, 8 Vahara Palaki, Wooden Chairs, Tables, Sofasets, Comfort Chairs, Palanga etc.
Ticket Availability:
Ticket counters are beside the gate of the museum, but the tickets for each person's ticket are fifteen rupees, but for a child under five, there is no need for a ticket. However, the admission rate for the students of secondary level has been fixed at Tk 5. For SAARC foreign visitors, the ticket price is fifty taka and for other foreign visitors, the price of tickets is one hundred taka.
Closed-open schedules:
The fort is open from 10am to 6pm in the summer. The middle is closed from 1pm to 1.30pm for half an hour. And it is open from 9am to 5pm in the winter. In winter, it is closed from 1pm to 1.30pm. And for the Jumma prayer on Friday, it is closed from 12:30 to 3 in the morning. Sunday is open for general holidays and on Monday, 2:00. There is also a special day on the official museum.
