The ancient mayan pyramids of Coba
I had an amazing day trip today to the mayan pyramids of Coba. Today is one of my good friend's 40th birthday, and we decided to spend the day here. This is the tallest pyramid on the Yucatan Peninsula, and you can actually climb it! They don't allow this at many archeological sites, and there are talks that from next year it won't be allowed here either.
After spending some time at the archeological site we had some nice lunch, then visited the crocodiles at the lake :-)
stories about Mayans are so interesting but disturbing when it gets to all sacrificing kids things... Beautiful pictures.
Did you see the mummies ?
No mummies, but I saw some crocodiles in the lake :-)
