Why you should visit Cinque Terre in italy

Le Cinque Terre consists of five towns (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza & Monterosso) located at the western coast of Italy. You can travel between them with each one being 5 min by train from the other. They sell special train cards that cost 40 euro per three days. Although no one checked us if we have a ticket or not. Maybe because the train is full of tourists in summer season. Anyways they give you free toilet access at the trainstations which normally costs 1euro and wifi access at the trains staions. They also include some special entrances to a museum for example. But I am pretty sure that wandering around the town, visiting the beaches and hiking in the national park is perfect enough.

If you stay four or more nights, you can also include other cities or towns nearby, like Portovenere or Lerici and La spezia.

La spezia is the best place to stay when travelling to Cinque Terre. We rented an apartment near the trainstation. (5min) That saves you a lot of time and you can travel more relaxed since you will be using the train various times a day.

There is a lot of nice places to go swimming, most people, especially the locals use the rocks by the cliffs.

And you should definetly make a dream come true by eating with your loved one or friend in Vernazza in the restaurant Al Castello. Dont forget to make a reservation so you can enjoy the special tables with the better view. The staff is really nice and very international waiter staff.

And getting engaged here like me makes it even more special, for why we decided to buy a nice bottle of wine that evening

Cinque Terre is so lovely and one of the less visited destinations in italy, since everyone goes to the typical cities like Rome and Florence. But if you want to have a summer with beaches, coasts, beautiful views and do something new, than I highy recommend tthis travel destination!
