Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @softa:
At Prague Castle he looks well from different places in Prague. I personally prefer it from Petřínské sady, where there are many places where the castle can be seen. Here is one attempt in the autumn of last year.

Church of St.Ludmila, Namesti miru, Praha 2, Vinohrady. In the second half of the 19th century, the Industrial Revolution entered into Prague, the population grew rapidly. All new parts of the city, including churches, were built. These churches were usually neo-Romanesque or neo-Gothic. How to distinguish them from the 12th to the 15th century buildings? Old churches in Prague never have clocks in the tower!
This church was built between 1882 and 1892.
Take a picture of this church, I want it for a long time. I have the idea that I will go there at sunset when the façade will be illuminated by the sun, but it only happens in the winter months and it is not a lot of sunny days.
Some photos are being prepared, some are the work of an instant idea. This is the second case. But in this competition, even objects can be repeated. Prague look interesting every time of year and every time of day and from every angle...
Je to v mé příšerné angličtině srozumitelné?
Také se učím, takže já rozumím.
Great picture. There is so much history in the city. It would be so cool to visit and see.
That is some great history lesson with an easy tool to distinguish the difference. I like that and hopefully will the readers of today´s edition.
Thank you for your appreciation.
Front side of the beautiful historic building of Mendelovo Gymnazium (Mendel Grammar School) in Opava. Founded in 1883, the school is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of its kind in the region. The school is named after Johan Gregor Mendel, a prominent Czech-Austrian scientist who studied in Opava.
Charles bidge.
The most famous bridge that crosses over the river vltava. This bridge stands on sixteen strong arches, lined with specially made tiles.
This bridge that connects (old town) and (lesser town)
The bridge also has a tower on either side. Which is used to enter the bridge.
This bridge is usually very much filled by tourists to take pictures.
What a great image!
TRIUMPH STREET in Prague
Only the coincidence that brought me to this place that combines the beauty of the streets of Prague and my passion to drive the Triumph Street which has this rare quality, that of distilling a pleasure of all times, without drowning you under the floods. 'adrenaline. No need to be agitated to have fun, no need to fight when you do not want to. No problem to avoid, but it is not necessary: rolling nose in the wind, exploit the mid-regime, that's his creed.
The Central Bohemian Highlands are sometimes also called the land of castles. Slowly on every hill we can find some ruins. Perhaps like the ruins, which is called Oltářík. From where can be seen the next 4 castles in the area. The castle is situated on top of a hill with a height of 566 meters and it is a beautiful view of the surroundings.
Awesome framing for this landscape photo.
Thank you, this photo was taken when I was just learning how to handle the composition correctly. Thanks to this contest, I refresh the places where I was and forget how great these places are. I'm making a list of places worth photographing again and better.
Thanks to this contest, I am finding out all the cool places to travel all over the world. @czechglobalhosts' contests have really opened my eyes to some of the coolest places. Plus awesome photographers like yourself get to show off their pictures.
Very happy to hear that:)... Thank you.
That is stunning!
Today I present an evening view from the famous Nuselský most in Prague. The street below with the trams on it is Jaromírova. In the back you can see the twin towers of Saint Peter and Paul Basilica and the walls of the Vyšehrad Castle. This castle is a beautiful park with wonderful views and a cemetery where famous Czech artists, authors and composers are laid to rest.
Sculpture of crawling baby with barcode face by Czech artist David Černý can be found in Prague near mode art gallery Museum Kampa (also known as Sova's Mills) on the eastern bank of the Kampa Island on the River Vltava.
I really need to make it out to the Czech Republic and see these statues in real life. They are some of the weirdest but most interesting statues I have ever seen.
Indeed...
Stay tuned, I have some more to share but I will keep them for next rounds of this cool contest.
B/W mood
Walking along the Charles Bridge and its environs can be endless. You will discover various picturesque corners of the city. These types will appeal to both the artist and the photographer. Descending down the Charles Bridge, we found the marks that reported on the floods of different times.
Great entry! Thank you so much.
For today’s contest I have this photo representing Prague’s river with Charles bridge in the background , and as you can see there’s much more to do in Prague as only to drink a beer ,many swim activity in summer time will let you enjoy your day :)
A region where the splendid castles and palaces await you, the valleys of several rivers, mining museums, silver mines and enchanting landscapes.
Even the most remote corners of Central Bohemia are only an hour away from Prague. In sight of Prague, a varied region extends, in which the rivers meander through deep valleys, bordered by deep forests. What should you definitely see? Two of the most popular destinations are the castle of Emperor Charles IV Karlštejn and Kutná Hora, a city listed as a UNESCO monument. Meet the last of the Habsburgs at Konopiště Castle and stroll through various types of labyrinth and labyrinth in the park surrounding Loučeň Chateau.
