Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @risengwynbleiid:
My today's entry was made in the North of the Czech Republic on the Castle Kost - Bone. Bone is a Gothic castle located in the Bohemian Paradise. The castle is open to the public from April to October. The tour of the castle is divided into four circuits.

Was everything during your visit to Prague all right? If not, complain right here. This is the New Town Hall Building..Here are the competent authorities for receiving your complaints about taxis, accommodation, restaurants, shops etc.
By the way, this is a beautiful Art Nouveau building from 1908 - 1911. The best Czech sculptors and painters worked on her decoration. A large part of the building is publicly accessible and few know it.
Mariánské náměstí 2/2, Praha 1 Staré Město, 110 00
That is some important information that deserves to be featured in today's edition. Some people might find it useful. Could you add the address as well? Would be great if you can edit it straight in the text. Thank you kindly. Tomas
Done. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
I took this image of traditional vineyard near Hodonin, a small town located in the Southern Moravian Region. This area is famous for producing the best wines in all Czech Republic. So as you can see, its not only good beer what the Czech Republic produces.
You just gotta love South Moravia:)....
Other view of the Vltava River and the St. Vitus Cathedral and other buildings at the Prague Castle. Photo taken on a foggy day in early spring, therefore the black and white format suits quite well to this image.
From Prague Castle of the bridge you can see a beautiful view of the Two Lesser Towers. The higher, right-hand tower in its present form appeared under Jiri from Poděbrady in 1464. And the one that was built lower in the XII century. Between the two towers you can see the church of St. Mikulas on the Malostranska Square.
Great click and some good information in your post. Thank you so much for that. Tomas
Thank you for supporting my photos. The Czech Republic and Prague have fallen in love with me forever.
Today I have another entry from the North of Czech Republic specifically Kryštofovo valley. It lies about 8 km west of Liberec, and most of it is declared a village monument zone. The village is mostly recreational. It is very popular among cyclists. In the summer, famous festivals are held here.
Something new:)....
Today I chose one of the jewels of Czech history. This is the water castle of Budyně nad Ohří. In the middle of the 13th century it was built as a Gothic castle. In the second half of the 15th century, it was surrounded by walls and a ditch was built. In the 16th century it was rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau. It burnt down in 1759 and was rebuilt in 1900-1913. The castle is located in northern Bohemia near the town of Lovosice.
Do you see this building? Well, I guess you do since you are looking at this picture 😀 I was attending school, located just behind a corner, and I had no clue what the purpose of this building is. Now I am cleverer (well… maybe :-D) a I know that this building is Besedni dum. It is in Brno and it was built 1870-1873. Architecture of this building is amazing, it was designed by famous Theophil von Hansen. Brno Philharmonic is renting this place, so you can go inside (but you must buy tickets first! :-D) and enjoy some music.
Ha, at first glance I was thinking that it was the school, lol....
For today’s entry I have something I know nothing about :-D It is some church in Znojmo. This picture is like 7 years old. I took it when I was a huge fan of geocaching, I travelled to Znojmo just to look for caches and I had to take picture of every building that I came across. I do not play geocaching anymore but I still have a lot of pictures from the time when I did.
Great pic! Thank you for sharing.
This is the famous Lennon wall and you can find it just about five minutes from the Charles Bridge. It's a little hidden, so do you search it on the map beforehand. What I like about it is that it changed every time I go there. All the messages there always change. I like to look up close and see what people wrote.
See in full resolution
When you get into a new unfamiliar place, you pay attention to the picture as a whole rather than the small details.
Interesting places not written in the guide. On Kampa Island, not far from the same Charles Bridge, there are such penguins. And, if in the afternoon it's just a yellow plastic that does not attract much attention to itself, in the evening time, the composition glows in the dark, attracting attention.
