Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @momogrow:

Although my entry is not the most picturesque - I decided to share it because it depicts an important aspect to trip in the Czech Republic. It was not only about architecture and historical building but also a chance to sample local traditional food. The photo shows a meal which I ate at Czech friend's home when I visited them during winter last year. The dish is called svíčková na smetaně. I cannot pronounce but I can describe the meal. It is steak served with a sauce of root vegetables like carrots and celeriac with a variety of spices, slices of bread dumpling, a bit of whipped cream topped with a slice of lemon and cranberry jam. I understood that this is a popular dish. It was a very tasty dish although not a big hit with one of my daughters. She liked the dumpling but not the vegetable sauce. I was told that it is a popular dish. Although I had been twice to the Czech Republic I had tried other traditional food but not this one.

I rewarded @momogrow entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.

Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!

Cesky Krumlov
Very small and cozy city protected by UNESCO. Fairy-tale streets with old houses give the feeling of a stalled time. If possible, stay here for the night, I can only imagine what the city looks like at night and early in the morning, when there are not so many tourists. Those interested can ride a kayak on the local river, several options for routes, almost at the beginning of the route an interesting threshold will await you.

Front view of the Church of Ascension of Virgin Mary in Straznice, a little but very beautiful town found in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The church was built in 1747 and it is one of the dominant architectural landmarks of the town.

Inspired by the amazing winning shot from yesterday, I am submitting a food photography today too :) This is the Szegedin Goulash, a delicious dish originally from Hungary but it is very popular in the Czech Republic as well. Definitely one of my favorite meals :)

Mordechai Maisel's Synagogue, Josefov, Prague
P1100192.JPG
Maisel, a financier of Emperor Rudolf II, had this synagogue built in 1592. He paid a lot for this privilege.
For a hundred years, this synagogue was the largest in Prague. In 1689 a great fire affected the ghetto and the synagogue. The synagogue was reduced by a third and rebuilt in Baroque style. Again, it was significantly modified in the 19th and 20th centuries.
It is now operated by the Jewish Museum in Prague.

A statue of Franz Kafka stands in front of the Quadrio shopping center. The 42 stainless steel layers of the statue are in constant motion, the face always looks in a different direction.

I don't think there can be a more magical place than this square. Stay there and enjoy yourself and enjoy an unforgettable show that you will carry in your heart forever. The old town of Prague is really great! Nicely restored, many attractions, cafes and restaurants. There are also small food trucks with Czech specialties in the center.

St Bartholomew's Cathedral, One of the highest church tower in Europe.
Cathedral is at the main square of Pilsen. It´s monumental building with one of the highest church tower in Europe. Tower is opened for the public and there is the very beautiful view to Pilsen from here.

Stunning stained glass and so much more :)

Inside of St. Vitus Cathedral
A must do when you go up to the Castle, jaw dropping stained glass windows and so much splendour steeped in history. A magnificent building and an absolute ‘must see’ in Prague :)

The cemetery is impressive, bleak and creates an indescribable atmosphere. Of all the types of tours that are offered, which include the various places to visit, (in my opinion they are treated and managed a bit badly and make the visit quite random and boring) the cemetery is not to be missed if you are of age in Prague.

Cesky Krumlov
This is a great place to visit and stroll the village. This old village looks like it is straight out of a fairy tale. The cobble stone lanes lead you through some very nice old buildings. The views are amazing as this is a photographers heaven.
