7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #28 – winner announcement!

@funtraveller Asian Sunday entry:

Hello @czechglobalhosts! This is the view of Marina Bay area in Singapore, a photo that I took while there's an incoming storm / heavy rain along my way. It's an uncommon scene and this serves as my entry to the Asian Sunday photo challenge.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #28 – winner announcement!

@benfenson Australian Monday entry:

This is Kiama lighthouse on the NSW, Southcoast, taken during a violent thunderstorm at the start of this years storm season. My partner and i had originally walked out to the tip of the headland to photograph the storm coming in from the West but the storm was moving so quickly that by the time we had setup, bolts of lightning were exploding all around us prompting us to head for cover. Just before making it back to the car the wind and rain hit luckily my camera gear stayed dry!.... I didn't ;)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #28 – winner announcement!

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Sunset Baltic Sea coast, nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania. A big stone as center of a composition and long exposure to freeze the movement of the wave. The most difficult part is actually to stay with dry shoes :) Every time sea just tries to catch me, but have enough experience so far to predict bigger waves. Enjoy it!

I took this photo at a market just outside of Stone Town on the island of Zanzibar when I visited there in July 2016. The market was incredibly crowded with vendors as well as customers. As you can see from the photo, the many colors there were incredibly vibrant, both from the food and decoration. You can get pretty much anything you need to prepare a delicious meal from this market, from vegetables to meat and the locals come here daily for that reason.

Africa is known for its animals. That is why people travel from all over the world to go on safari to see them in their natural habitat. There really isn't a way in words to describe the feeling you get when you cross into the Serengeti and start to see all of the amazing animals. It is truly an amazing experience. I took this picture in the Serengeti National Park during the summer of 2017 during my trip to Tanzania.

...very nice...

Thank you. I had an amazing time there in Africa and I can't wait to be able to return. The animals are cool to see, but the people are what make it such an amazing place.

Yep, that is a real Africa:)... Great entry!

Night Sky of Namibia

Namibia’s sparse population makes it one of the best places in the world for stargazing. While light pollution clouds the skies over much of the world, in Namibia, it seems that the Milky Way’s luminous beauty is just overhead, just beyond our reach. More of the galaxy is visible from the dunes and salt pans of Namibia than virtually anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere.

Wow, that is pretty spectacular!

This time something more special for your eyes. A series of photos shot from just started to land airplane not far from Hurghada, Egypt. True rivers of gold and definitely there was a time they were full of water...

Enjoy the scenery :)

I have no doubt that Sudan is one of the best places in the World for diving. Always warm Red Sea, an abundance of colorful corals and tropical fish make every dive striking and unforgettable. It's a place where every instant of water under water you want to leave in your memory and on the photographers, of course!

What a beautiful colors!

It is time that also I try my luck at African challenge with photo from DeadVlei 😁
There is not much to describe as photo speaks for itself. In the dessert, at the middle of nowhere there is life. These old trees are masters of survival and create one of the most unique scenery on Earth.

Peeking through a gate I got to snap this photo of the Sphinx with one of the pyramids of Giza. The gates were all closed to the public so we couldnt get in to see the Sphinx front on, as they were doing restorations to the monument. Still an amazing sight to see☺

Nothing but fascinating.... It is incredible how they were able to build those without any modern technology... Thank you and have a wonderful day. Tomas

The Dades Gorge was one of my personal natural highlights in Morocco. My amazing couchsurfing host took me to this viewpoint that provides an incredibly photogenic view over the steep and curvy road that ascends from Dades Valley into the Atlas Mountains.

What an incredible sight to see (and road to travel on), @jpphotography! Extra care is needed to travel through this road though. But anyhow, it's nice to see this other and less known side of Morocco.

I actually took a shared taxi to the lower end of the road and walked up :D But driving this road must be awesome as well!

I am glad are roads are not this curvy:).... Thank you for your entry and have a great day. Tomas

We move in the middle of an arid environment, sand dunes or mountains, then in the distance or at the turn of our road appears an island of greenery, an oasis full of life.
By moving in the oasis you will experience a feeling of freshness and well being where only the singing of birds disturbs the calm.

Oasis Nafta-Tozeur Tunisia..

What an amazing image! That is a real Oasis!

This is beautiful, @kouba01! Indeed it is an oasis. ❤️

Botswana, what a great travel experience. Looking for the big 5 by your own in your own vehicle. This elephant is one of them. Unfortunately we missed the leopard, but still we had a great time.

What an encounter this must be to see them in the wild! Thank you for your entry. Tomas
