It is Wednesday again and why not to try with another safari photo from Etosha NP, Namibia. Did you know that oryx is also zebra. I did not till I went to Africa on safari and this is another thing why I love safaries so much.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. @intrepidphotos Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Sunset over P.P. Long Beach with some longtail boats (ruea hang yao) parked for the day. This shot was taken just about a month before the 2004 Boxing Day or Indian Ocean tsunami wiped out everything on the island including most of the beautiful people there. Phi Phi Don is a rugged limestone island with development confined to a low sandbar isthmus separating two main wings of the island and did not stand a chance. The waves up to 30 metres (100 ft) high ended up taking the lives of approximately 280,000 people across 14 countries. Ko Phi Phi Don. Ko Phi Phi Archipelago, Andaman Sea, Thailand. Shot taken of Fuji Velvia Slide Film.

Sailing down the river Nile in Luxor Egypt.
After a full day of swimming and sailing down the river Nile. As the sun was going down the winds picked up very strong and ended up tearing our sail, so we had to pull over to the shore and set up camp for the night so we could fix the sail in the morning. Great adventure!

Tanneries in Fez, Morocco

The tanneries in the old town of Fez are hard to miss when you visit the ancient city: Go anywhere near the tanneries and a tout will persuade you to let him show you around. Give it a go and watch the smelly process of leather production yourself!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

There are few things as romantic as a walk along a deserted beach during a proper African sunset. No filtering or editing applied... just an epic sunset on the South coast of South Africa.

A section of River Niger. One of Africa's major rivers.

On this day, I and my colleague were on our way to a major market in Nigeria located in Onitsha. We were trying to get some photography equipment. Unfortunately the road was totally jammed and we couldn't continue our journey we stepped down from the transport vehicle we boarded and while walking back we spotted this area and decided to scout the location. It really seemed like a nice place to have a photography section. We also had a chat with the kids who earned a living a transporting people to other banks of the river. It was really exciting.

I wasn't with my Digital camera so I improvised with my smartphone.

Kinly note, that only one photo per entry. Thank you.

Oops sorry about that. Lemme take out the two extra photos.

Stone carvings depicting everyday life inside Luxor Temple in Egypt. We can still admire the original ceiling colors after all these years. On the right side, we can see different carving level in what looks like instrument. We can only imagine what life looked like back then.
